GS Yuasa Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 6674; “GS Yuasa”) today announced that it has decided to revise the prices of Traction Lead-acid batteries and related parts*, as well as chargers, installed in electric forklifts, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), electric wheelchairs, and other electric vehicles, for orders received in Japan starting in April 2026.

In recent years, various expenses such as raw material costs, energy costs, and logistics costs have continued to surge, with their escalation further accelerated by the instability of global affairs. Furthermore, costs for maintaining the supply chain, which is necessary for sustainable product production and supply, are also increasing.

GS Yuasa has made diligent efforts to implement thorough cost reductions and improve production efficiency. However, we have determined that it is difficult to maintain conventional prices through corporate efforts alone. Therefore, in order to build strong, long-term partnerships with our customers and business partners through mid-to-long term product development, maintaining a stable supply of products, promoting technological innovation, and improving services, we have decided to implement a price revision.
GS Yuasa will continue to implement cost reductions and make further efforts to provide products and services that satisfy our customers and business partners.
