GS Yuasa Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 6674; “GS Yuasa”) concluded the “Kyoto Biodiversity Partnership agreement” on August 22, 2025, with Kyoto Prefecture (Governor: Takatoshi Nishiwaki), Kyoto City (Mayor: Koji Matsui), and the Kyoto Biodiversity Center (Chair of the Steering Committee: Takakazu Yumoto). A signing ceremony was held the same day at the Kyoto Prefectural Government Office.

This agreement is a scheme designed to promote biodiversity conservation within Kyoto Prefecture. Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City facilitate matching between companies wishing to engage in biodiversity conservation and conservation organizations, thereby developing effective and sustainable biodiversity conservation initiatives through such agreements.
Through this agreement, donations made by GS Yuasa will be utilized—via Kyoto Biodiversity Center—to support conservation activities in the traditional rural landscapes of Kaseyama, Kizugawa City, as well as the conservation of sweetfish and other species in the Yodo River basin.
