GS Yuasa Corporation

GS Yuasa Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 6674; “GS Yuasa”) today announced that it has been awarded the highest evaluation, "Gold," for the first time in the "PRIDE Index*1 2025," which evaluates initiatives for LGBTQ+ (sexual minorities) in the workplace. This index was developed by the general incorporated association work with Pride*2.

GS Yuasa promotes the "development of self-reliant human resources" and the "acceptance and respect of diversity," declaring the realization of its corporate philosophy of "Innovation and Growth." By valuing diversity as a source of competitiveness and respecting the individuality and abilities of each person, the company aims for the co-growth of individuals and the organization.

In the area of LGBTQ+, we have actively worked to improve the workplace environment, including promoting understanding through video training for all employees, conducting training for human resources and recruitment personnel, and establishing confidential consultation services where individuals and their allies can feel safe seeking advice. Furthermore, our continuous efforts, such as the revision of employment regulations in November of this year, were comprehensively evaluated, leading to the "Gold" certification*3.

Moving forward, GS Yuasa will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through its corporate philosophy: "Contributing to people, society, and the global environment through the 'Innovation and Growth' of employees and the company."
