Blue Energy Co., Ltd. ("Blue Energy"), a member of the GS Yuasa group, donated 4,000 copies of the educational booklet Unko Drill: Lithium-Ion Batteries, a collaboration between Blue Energy's technological expertise and the popular Unko Drill educational series, to Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture, on July 9, 2026. The booklets will be distributed to all the students attending municipal elementary schools in the city. A donation ceremony was held on the same day at Fukuchiyama City Hall.

Unko Drill: Lithium-Ion Batteries was created under the supervision of Blue Energy with the aim of helping children, who will lead the next generation, gain a correct understanding of lithium-ion batteries and their role in supporting modern life. Through the booklet, children can enjoy learning about the environmental benefits of lithium-ion batteries as well as their safe and proper use.

Following its initial distribution in Fukuchiyama City, the booklet is scheduled to be made available to elementary schools throughout Japan through Bunkyosha Co., Ltd. upon request.

Blue Energy will continue to contribute to global environmental conservation and the realization of a sustainable society through the manufacture, sale, research and development of high-performance lithium-ion batteries.
